Aqueous Dispersion technique
Chrissie Everard - The process really sits between watercolour and acrylic painting. The clarity of the pigment is sharp like watercolour but the colour is held despite adding the medium and sitting in water. I can work the paint on a variety of support to create different outcomes and abstract to more realistic ideas. I was taught by a Master Painter in these techniques in 2009/10 and have developed my own approach to the chemistry and the way I use them. I love the Alchemy of the process and materials, which is a mix of planning and managed chemical reaction. Happenstance plays a part and brings delight to the work.
