In 2003 I took time out from work to pursue my creative interests (thank you husband). I was a poet and creative writer studying part time with UEA but fell in with a group of creative folk in the early days of Creake Abbey (just outside Burnham Market) when it was a small group of artists and a small cafe. I wrote poetry and they painted but we exchanged ideas and I ended up painting and they wrote poems. And the painting took hold in me and the rest it seems is history…

I've studied with a select range of leading artists including
Michael Porter, RWA and Caroline Hulse, FRSA whose techniques and approaches to their own work influenced my direction as an abstract and expressive creator. I work in a range of media using landscape, in its broadest sense, as my main inspiration. I held my first Solo Exhibition in 2010 sponsored by Berrymans Solicitors of Nottingham. Over the years I've been selected to exhibit at some significant galleries and public spaces, and been elected as a member of several Art Societies. I'm currently a member of Leicester Society of Artists (Elected 2016).

Having recently made Norfolk my permanent home after decades of knowing it (and a return to living near the coast for me) I'm looking forward to developing my work within those influences.
